Alaskan Klee Kai National Rescue

(AKKNR)

The Alaskan Klee Kai is yet a rare breed with a limited number of breeders and owners, making the need for rescue a small one. Many breeders have participated in rescue to cover these needs over the years.  As the breed continues to grow so will the need for rescue.

The Alaskan Klee Kai Association of American supports the Alaskan Klee Kai National Rescue (AKKNR) in its preparation for these growing needs to help with not only rescue, but also rehabilitation and re-homing.

AKKNR will take in abandoned, abused, neglected, and owner surrendered AKK.  It will work with other rescues and shelters to find AKK suitable forever homes.  AKKNR will provide foster homes for AKK that need a place to stay while they are waiting for their forever home, as well as work on socialization, training, and obtain any needed veterinary care for these AKK.  All potential homes are very carefully screened to ensure each AKK gets its perfect forever home.  Their goal is to help all Alaskan Klee Kai that need to be helped, and help them find wonderful homes where they will be healthy and happy for their entire lifetime.

KUDOS to everyone involved with Rescue!!

The young pup and the older dog lay on shaded sweet grass watching the reunions. Sometimes a man, sometimes a woman, sometimes a whole family would approach the Rainbow Bridge, be greeted by their loving pets and cross the bridge together.

The young pup playfully nipped at the older one. "Look! Something wonderful is happening!" The older dog stood up and barked, "Quickly. Get over to the path." "But that's not my owner," whined the pup, but he did as he was told.

Thousands of pets surged forward as a figure in white walked on the path toward the bridge. After the glowing figure passed each animal, that animal bowed it's head in love and respect. The figure finally approached the bridge, and was met by a menagerie of joyous animals.  Together, they all walked over the bridge and disappeared.

The young pup was still in awe. "Was that an angel?" he whispered.

"No, son." The older dog replied.

"That was more than an angel.
That was a person who worked rescue."
