APAW - A Pet Award Winner
The A PAW Award is intended for the PET-OWNER-MEMBER who best fits the profile of an ideal AKKAOA member, and who embodies the ideals of AKKAOA, is an excellent breed spokesperson, and displays a genuine love for the breed and the people involved. This person should be one who understands and supports the Alaskan Klee Kai Association of America and the ideals of the club, acts as a positive spokesperson for the breed and the club, and interacts well with others in the community. This pet owner member is nominated by the membership, and awarded at the AKKAOA annual meeting.

Spirit of AKKAOA
The Bob Cook Spirit of AKKAOA Award is intended for the BREEDER- MEMBER who best fits the profile of an ideal AKKAOA breeder member, and who represents the spirit of AKKAOA in attitude and deed. This person should be one who understands and supports the Alaskan Klee Kai Association of America and the ideals of the club, shows dedication to protecting and bettering the breed, and exhibits and encourages the spirit of fun and camaraderie within the community. This breeder member is nominated by the membership, and awarded at the AKKAOA annual meeting.
Junior Handler Award
This award is intended for the junior handler who has been involved in conformation and performance events, and promotes responsible dog ownership. Junior members are encouraged to seek help from experienced breeders, exhibitors, trainers, and other junior members, and getting involved in local dog clubs, and volunteering with club activities. The winner is awarded by the event Judge at the annual AKKAOA National Alaskan Klee Kai Specialty.

Sportsmanship Award
The Sportsmanship Award started as a traveling plaque that was donated by the Mason-Dixon Multi-breed Dog Association in memory of Gail Compton. This award is intended for the exhibitor who understands and supports AKKAOA, shows dedication to bettering the breed, and demonstrating fairness and willingness to help fellow exhibitors to obtain their goals, inside and ouside of the ring. The winner is selected by those exhibiting at the annual AKKAOA National Alaskan Klee Kai Specialty.
Showmanship Award
The Showmanship Award is intended for the exhibitor who shows a close bond with their dog that results in good performance in the conformation ring. The winner is selected among all the exhibitors, and awarded by the event Judge, at the annual AKKAOA National Alaskan Klee Kai Specialty.
